On dirait une solution propre serait de calculer tous les totaux possibles pour un ensemble donné de cartes, puis choisissez celui qui est approprié pour chaque action de l'utilisateur, si nécessaire. Par exemple, si un utilisateur reste, alors 9-A serait 20, pas 10. Si l'utilisateur frappe pour arriver à 9-AA, puis reste, ce serait 21, pas 11 ou 30.

Voici quelques exemples pseudocode pour un jeu:

Deal out cards; show both of the player's cards and one of the dealer's cards 
Determine all possible scores for player's cards 
If (One of the scores is 21) 
    Goto Dealer's Turn (this is a blackjack)

    While (Hitting)

     Determine all possible scores for player's cards
